Obituary of James Zampino

James “Jim or Jimmy” Zampino was, simply, a great guy. He was a loving husband to his wife, Corliss, of 58 years, a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jimmy is survived by his 2 children Jaime Forbes and Matthew Zampino; 6 grandchildren, Amanda, Steven and Ben Forbes, Matthew, Michael and Mary Zampino; and great-grandson Wyatt Zampino.

Jim was a top salesman for a Fortune 500 company for almost 40 years. He loved what he did and up until his passing was still going strong. Armed with his legendary sense of humor and genuinely compassionate spirit, Jim made friends where ever he went. Customers became friends and friends became family. His unexpected passing has left more than a few of us with heavy hearts.

Please join us at The Island Funeral Home from 1-4 on Saturday March 16^th to celebrate the life of this remarkable man who enriched the lives of so many others. A short reception will follow at the Cypress Club of Hilton Head.
