Obituary of Robert Joseph Mackinnon

In loving memory – 1931 – 2024
Robert Joseph MacKinnon (Bob) passed away peacefully on January 8, 2024. He was 92. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, three children, four grandchildren, a brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob was born in Boston, Mass, served honorably in the Air Force, and had a successful 25-year career with Siemens Medical Systems where he was promoted to President and CEO. Bob was very proud that a kid from a modest means growing up during the Great Depression could achieve the success he did.

Bob retired in 1993 and moved to Hilton Head Island where he enjoyed golf, tennis, and traveling with Gloria. He had a kind word about everyone and will be missed.

The family will hold a private funeral mass.
