Obituary of Joshua Aragon

Josh Aragon, age 45, died on September 8, 2022 at his parents’ home in Bluffton from progressive Multiple Sclerosis which he quietly and bravely endured since 2004.

Josh was born in Cape May County, New Jersey on February 10, 1977. He spent his childhood years in Florida and Georgia. He moved to Hilton Head Island in 6^th grade in 1989. Josh graduated in 1996 from Hilton Head High School, where he was known for being a loyal friend, for not following the rules, and for his left-handed pitching skills which took him to Rutgers University - Newark. He was starting pitcher there for four years, graduating in 2003. Josh used his love of music and people to design and run his own recording studio in Newark, New Jersey and most recently in Bluffton.

Josh was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, and good friends Justin and Akash.

His loved ones include parents Lindy and Leon, brother Jesse, sister-in-law Andrea, nieces Isla and Ada, maternal Tiny Grandmom and Bob, Uncle Steve, Aunt Margaret, cousins Steve and Sean, faithful cat Gia, and cherished friends from his years in New Jersey and locally.

Josh was a brave individual, had unique style, and was wonderful. He loved all people.

Graveside prayers will be Sunday, September 11 at 1 pm at St. Luke’s Cemetery in Bluffton.

Donations to honor Josh may be made Maranatha Farm who lovingly cared for his dogs or to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry who lovingly cared for him and his family.
