To the Hays family:
I am very sorry about your loss.
I hope these words help a little...
Hold fast to your memories, to all of the cherished moments of the
past, to the blessings and the laughter, the joys and the celebrations,
the sorrow and the tears. They all add up to a treasure of fond yesterdays
that you shared and spent together, and they keep the one you loved
close to you in spirit and thought.
The special moments and memories in your life will never change.
They will always be in your heart, today and forevermore.
Gene Svatek - I was in the Cleveland office of AA&Co, but was often
loaned to the Cincinnati office where I worked on many engagements
with Forrest. He was a great person.

I am so saddened to learn of the passing of Forrie--along time friend and partner in the firm. Our family moved from Nebraska to Geneseo where I graduated from high school in 1950-the same year Forrie did in Cambridge. Our paths crossed again at Augustana graduating in 1954. We both joined the firm and became partners in 1968. After spending 16 years in our Milwaukee office I became managing partner in Columbus at the time Forrie was managing partner in Cinncinnati and later Cleveland. During those years we shared many great experiences in Ohio practices and in the firm. At this time I have many reflections and feel privileged to have been associated with him over so many years. Forrest was a decisive, fair, and compassionate leader. As a result of his decisions I wound up as the Firm's DC grass roots lobbyist for ten years...the best years of our lives, thanks in part to Forrest. He will be missed by all who he worked with or befriended. My sincere sympathies to his family and loved ones. A great guy has left us. Lee Blazey

Annette, I’m sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of my early career with Andersen Consulting in the Cleveland office of AA & Co. Forrest was always the ultimate gentleman and steady hand on the wheel. Those experiences set me up for a lifetime of success in business. Blessings to you and your family. David Campbell

Sorry to hear about Forrest. I visited him in Hilton Head a few years ago. I spoke with him a few weeks ago and I know he was lonely. He was never the same after Annette passed away. I had also lost my wife to cancer. My condolences to the family

I worked quite a bit with Forrest while at Arthur Andersen in Cleveland and we became good friends while enjoying a cocktail or a round of golf at Pepper Pike CC. He had a very positive impact on me and my career. I'm certainly sad to hear of his passing. Lou Schneeberger

I had just been made a partner when Forrest first journeyed from Cincinnati to lead the Cleveland office. At our first social gathering ( a Halloween party), I showed up in a tutu. It definitely caught his eye. Two goods things then occurred. First, he did not request reconsideration of his coming to Cleveland. More importantly, we still got to work together until he retired. He was definitely the most effective leader I ever met who could gain everyone's respect with such few words. Just after he retired from Arthur and had assumed management responsibilities for a group of companies, we crossed paths in the airport. He stated he was off to do a purchase investigation of a target company. He then looked at me and in his quiet manner asked what do you do in a purchase investigation. I am not sure he was just kidding. Our lunch get together during my annual visit to Hilton Head are no more. Thanks for being such a great partner and friend!
