Obituary of Maria A Adams

Maria Adduci "Murph" Adams passed peacefully surrounded by family on February 6, 2021 in Bluffton, S.C. Maria was born on January 1, 1945 in Brooklyn, N.Y. 

She retired in 2010 from a 40 plus year career in accounting and relocated to South Carolina. She dedicated her remaining time to giving back to her community including volunteering at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Seneca, S.C., Meals on Wheels in Hilton Head-Bluffton, S.C. and ongoing community outreach activities.

Maria will always be remembered for her loving personality and kindness towards others. Her devotion for family, enthusiasm for travel, tenacious spirit and famous Italian cooking are memories that will be cherished forever. 

 Maria is survived by her husband and best friend, Robert "Bob" Adams; her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Darrin Broda; her daughter and partner, Nicole Adams and Noel Query; her grandchildren, Selena Gonzalez, Chrisitan Gonzalez and Aiden Broda; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte Rae and Henry James; her sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Dennis Hulihan; and loving family and friends. Maria was predeceased by her son, James "J.P." Murphy. 

A private family service was held on February 8, 2021 at Island Funeral Home in Hilton Head, S.C. and a celebration of Maria's life will be held at a later date. In honor of her passion for community volunteering, please consider donating to Meals on Wheels America.
