I have so many amazing memories of my childhood growing up with Josh. Other than just memories though I remember Josh's laugh. When Josh laughed you laughed. He was always doing something to make me laugh growing up. He was my first friend when we moved to Germantown, TN from Florida when I was 4. We stayed friends throughout school.
Josh gave me more than friendship, he was literally like my brother, his family was my family. We were inseparable. We did everything together- basketball, soccer, fishing and hunting. We used to go hunting along the Wolf River before it was developed and fishing in his boat. When Josh was sixteen he got a Ford Bronco- I remember one time we took it mudding and got it buried! His dad was so mad!!
One time we decided to enter a fishing tournament together at Sardis Lake in Mississippi. We got maps of the lake and planned where we would fish at different times of the day. We got up crazy early, got to the boat ramp and couldn't get the boat to start. We were devastated but we somehow found a way to laugh about it. That's what I remember most of Josh, finding a way to somehow make me laugh when laughing was the last thing on my mind.
Rest in Peace my best friend, my brother. I'll miss you always until we meet again.
