Randy was a lifelong history enthusiast whose interests included the Middle East, biblical eras, the Civil War, and the World Wars among many other topics. He was an avid dog lover who spent many hours volunteering at the local animal shelter and ensconced at home spoiling as many animals as he could – usually while watching Fox news.
He was very proud of his Jewish heritage and enjoyed sharing the history of the religion with his family, friends and students, most notably in his role teaching comparative religion classes at the Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim (KKBE) Synagogue in Charleston.
He is survived by his Wife – Sylvia; Children – Michael, Melissa, Justin and Jason; Brother – Gary; Grandchildren and many more beloved family and friends. Randy was a very kind, caring person who loved spending time with his family and friends. He was greatly loved, and he will be sorely missed.
