Obituary of William (Wills) Robert Dolbeare

DOLBEARE, William Robert.  Our beloved Wills went to the Lord unexpectedly on Saturday December 10.  He will be missed by so many and remembered by many more. He is survived by his parents, Ken and Christine ( nee' Brady); brother, Stewart; grandparents, Debbie and Bill Brady, and grandfather, Robert Dolbeare; aunt and uncle, MaryAnne (nee’ Dolbeare) and David Dunlap; cousins Harper and Drew.  He was preceded in death by his uncle, Billy Brady, and his paternal grandmother, Anne Dolbeare, who welcomed him into the presence of the Lord.

Wills was a freshman in the engineering program at Auburn University when he passed, but he had already made a tremendous impact on his friends and classmates in his short time in Alabama.   He quickly made close friends and was a proud Tiger.  He was a graduate of Hilton Head Christian Academy and cherished his HHCA friends, football teammates, coaches, and teachers.  Together, they helped him grow into a strong, Christian young man who lived his life fully, laughed easily and loved his family, friends, and the Lord.

The family asks that when you think of Wills that you live out the bible verse that Wills chose for graduation from HHCA:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all

your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

In lieu of flowers or other remembrances, the family asks that you honor Wills with donations to his beloved Auburn University for an engineering scholarship set up in his name or to Hilton Head Christian Academy. Please see the tribute links on this page.

The family will hold a private family interment at Six Oaks Cemetery on Friday, December 16, and will welcome all others to a celebration of life and reception at Hilton Head Christian Academy on December 28, 2022, at 3pm.
