Obituary of Barbara Finney Hagstoz

Barbara Finney Hagstoz passed away in her home on August 28, 2022, on Hilton Head Island, SC. Barbara was 77 years old.

Barbara was born on September 21, 1944, in Riverside, NJ to her parents Robert and Helen Finney. She graduated from Kathrine Gibbs College in New York City and was married to George S. Hagstoz Jr. who passed away on October 20, 2011.

She is survived by her son; George III (Mary Ellen) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; daughters, Lisa H. Calle of Spring City, PA, and Kirsten Hagstoz of Franklin, MA; and 8 grandchildren.

Barbara enjoyed travel and golf in her younger years. Barbara enjoyed traveling to Bermuda yearly with her husband to play golf and visit friends. She was a member of Plainfield Country Club in Edison, NJ, Mid Ocean Country Club in Bermuda, and Long Cove Country Club in Hilton Head, SC. She loved to do needlepoint and create decorative ornaments for friends and family including Christmas tree ornaments for her children and grandchildren. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and sister and will be sorely missed.

There will be two Celebration of Life events, one held in Riverton, NJ, and the other in Hilton Head, SC. Details will be posted on social media when they are finalized.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in memory of Barbara F. Hagstoz to Hospice Care of the Low Country or MD Anderson Cancer Center
