Jacqueline Reynolds

Obituary of Jacqueline P. Reynolds

Jackie passed from this life on April 1, 2018. Jackie was born to Earl Leslie and Evelyn Vance Parker on March 20, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati and her Master’s Degree from Xavier University. She taught in the Cincinnati and Norwood, Ohio school systems for many years. Jackie was a proud and accomplished teacher who had the best interests of each of her students at heart. She is survived by her husband, Terry, son, Bill Easton, and step children Suzanne May(Joe), Tom Reynolds(Tracy), Michael Reynolds(Nancy), three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Jackie’s other son, Mark, preceded her in death. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Beyond education, helping others was Jackie’s mission in life. Each time she relocated (and that was frequently) she found a charitable group or groups which she worked with and financially supported to help others. She loved a party, and was responsible for hosting some great ones! She was also a great sports fan- golf, pro football, major league baseball, and college basketball. Each year as NCAA March Madness set in she rooted her “Dukies” (son Bill’s alma mater) on to many wonderful victories! A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 19th at 10:30 a. m. at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church. A reception to celebrate Jackie’s life will be held at the Moss Creek Clubhouse after the Mass. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Saint Francis by the Sea Catholic School, 45 Beach City Road, Hilton Head, SC 29926. The Island Funeral Home and Crematory. islandfuneralhome.com. .
