Thomas Werner

Obituary of Thomas Werner

Thomas Werner, age 74, moved on peacefully at home after losing the battle to an aggressive esophageal cancer. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his wife, daughter and beloved family pets. Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Thomas worked as part of the Eastman Kodak company for over 37 years. Thomas was a natural athlete who loved running, biking and had a deep passion for tennis. It was his love of the game, that introduced Tom to Linda, his wife and lifelong mixed doubles partner, and eventually led their family to Hilton Head Island. After relocating to the island, Thomas found a successful second career at Head Start working alongside his wife before retiring in 2011. Although Thomas had a quiet demeanor and was a private man, the beauty of his kindness, gentle nature, and good heart shown through to all who knew him. He was the steady rock and second-half to his beloved wife and a proud father of Ryan and Ami. “Me without you. You without me. Together, we make one decent person.” – Thomas’ favorite quote about he & his wife. Donations can be made in honor of Thomas L.
