Obituary of Robert Wolff

Bob Wolff, 84, of Hilton Head, SC passed away December 25, 2017. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of the late Ralph and Sally Wolff. He was raised in Traverse City, Michigan and graduated from St. Francis High School where he played basketball. He served 4 years in the US Air Force and then completed his education at Central Michigan University where he received his BS degree in business. During his college years he met his wife Carol of 59 years. Bob began his career with General Motors, which took him to several locations in Michigan and Ohio. He retired as a Resident Comptroller and moved to Hilton Head in 1994. He enjoyed golf, kayaking, and being with family and friends. He was a loving, caring husband and father. Bob was a member of the Country Club of Hilton Head and also a former member of Dolphin Head for 25 years where he served as president. Bob also worked for several years at Moss Creek Golf Course as a starter. Bob is survived by his wife Carol, and their daughters, Karen (Jeff) Knauf of Pewaukee, WI and Traci Wolff of Novi, MI; 3 grandchildren, Alex Knauf, Christopher & Nicholas Volpe; his brothers, Ralph (Barb) Wolff, Jerry (Sue) Wolff and his sisters Sally (Ron) Steele, Joan Forton, and Jan Brunn. Bob was a member of St Francis by the Sea Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held there Friday, January 5 at 10:30am. (Friends will be received for the hour before the service at the church.)
